For candidates

Taking an AI interview with Rabbit.

A company has invited you to a spoken first-round interview. Here is what to expect, what you need, and what happens to your answers.

What happens, step by step.

Everything runs from the one-time link in your invite email. No account, no download. You can start from 15 minutes before your interview time.

  1. Read the brief

The role, the round, how many questions, how long it takes and the topics Rabbit asks about.

  2. Agree to an AI interview

Four plain statements about what happens, then one checkbox. Nothing touches your devices until you agree.

  3. Check your devices

Camera, microphone, screen, network and display. Under a minute, with a one-line fix if anything needs it.

  4. Talk with Rabbit

Rabbit asks each question out loud. You answer in your own words. Live captions show both sides.

When you finish, your interview is saved and the company's team reviews it. The link is then used and can't be reopened. If your connection drops along the way, the interview reconnects by itself and keeps your answers.

What you need.

  • A laptop or desktop computer, not a phone
  • The latest Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • A working webcam (a real camera, not a virtual one) and a microphone
  • One display. Disconnect external monitors before you start
  • Willingness to share your entire screen for the interview
  • A stable internet connection and a quiet, well-lit room

Before you start.

Do

  • Find a quiet, well-lit room
  • Use a stable internet connection
  • Speak clearly and think out loud
  • Keep your face visible to the camera

Don't

  • Switch tabs or apps
  • Read from external notes
  • Let anyone else join you
  • Refresh once you've started

What is recorded, and who sees it.

Your interview goes to the hiring team at the company that invited you.

Camera and microphone

Recorded from the moment you press Start interview, and transcribed for the hiring team.

Your screen

Shared for the whole interview for integrity checks. It isn't recorded.

Camera checks

Run inside your browser. Frames never leave your device for them. Moments such as another face in view are marked for a person to review.

Who decides

A person at the company that invited you. Rabbit asks the questions and never makes the decision.

Need an adjustment? Contact the company that invited you before you start.

Frequently asked questions

Is a person involved?

Yes. A person at the hiring company reviews every interview and makes every decision. Rabbit asks the questions. It never decides.

Is my screen recorded?

No. Your entire screen is shared for the whole interview for integrity checks, but it isn't recorded. Your camera and microphone are recorded.

Does looking away hurt my score?

Your interview score comes from your answers. Camera signals such as looking away only mark a moment for a person to review. They never reject anyone on their own.

Is my camera video analyzed in the cloud?

The integrity checks run in your browser, and frames never leave your device for them. Your recording is uploaded for the hiring team.

What if my connection drops?

The interview reconnects by itself and your answers so far are saved. If you reload the page, you rejoin where you were.

Can I retake it?

Each link starts one interview. Contact the hiring team that invited you if you need another attempt.

Can I use my phone?

No. Use the latest Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a laptop or desktop computer.

What if I need an adjustment?

Contact the company that invited you before you start. They can adjust the round for you.
